I learnt how to use Boothryd Dewhurt's software to reduce manufacturing and assembly time at the design stage and worked on the same for one of Renault Nissan's wheel hub assemblies by proposing standardisation of parts and redesign of the fastener.

Dragonfly Wing Biomimicry
Explored the effect of vein pattern and material of wing membrane on the mechanical behaviours of the wings which show large resistance to bending and torsional resistance during flight. We attempted using biodegradable material polymers (onion peel and human hair) to replicate the sandwich like structure of the membranes and used FEA to simulate vine structure and crack propagation. The final objective was to present a design and manufacturing technique to produce light, resistant BMAVs.
HangTree
We (three) developed a word guessing game, a take on the classic game of HangMan but with a twist. Hangtree follows a concept similar to hang tree except it uses the binary tree data structure and adds nodes to the tree, instead of to a hangman. This project was mainly developed to gain a better understanding of Data Structures, gamifying the process to keep it interesting!
